Dr. Sarah Shelton is a Licensed Clinical Forensic & Health Psychologist in Kentucky, Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, & Ohio. She travels across the U.S. in a forensic capacity. She provides evaluation, assessment, mediation, and Expert Witness Testimony in family, civil, criminal, and juvenile court cases and provides psycho-legal consultation to legal professionals. Dr. Shelton has been recognized by numerous courts as an Expert and has testified in excess of 100 cases. Dr. Shelton has specializations in Forensic Assessment as well as Health/Medical Psychology. She earned a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology (Murray State University) and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (Spalding University APA-Accredited Program). She was Chief Intern at the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (APA-Accredited Program) prior to completing two Postdoctoral Fellowships in Health Psychology and Behavioral Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia, where she later became faculty in the Department of Pediatrics and Psychiatry and earned a Master of Public Health Degree. Dr. Shelton earned a Postdoctoral Master of Science Degree in Psychopharmacology (Fairleigh Dickinson University APA-Designated Program). She then completed advanced training in Forensics at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, where she has been faculty in graduate programs for Psychology, Public Health, and Psychopharmacology. Dr. Shelton is also faculty in the Psy.D. Clinical Psychology program and Clinical Director of the Interdisciplinary Behavioral Health Scholars Program at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky. Additionally, she is faculty in the Ph.D. Clinical Psychology & Master of Justice Administration (M.J.A) programs at the University of the Cumberlands (Northern Kentucky campus). She is a lecturer, author, and is frequently featured in print, radio, and television media. Dr. Shelton has held multiple elected and appointed leadership positions at the state and national level, including President of the Kentucky Psychological Association (KPA) and two elected 4-year terms on the Board of Directors of the National Register of Health Service Psychologists in Washington, DC. She is an Approved Supervisor and Oral Examiner for the Kentucky Board of Examiners of Psychology. She also holds appointed positions within the American Psychological Association (APA) as Director of Continuing Education for Division 55 Society for the Advancement of Pharmacotherapy and a committee appointment for Division 41 American Psychology-Law Society.
